Local resident in award-winning video

Eleven-year-old Natalie Crawford of Batavia was chosen from a group of 15 finalists to star in the Aegis award-winning production of "History at Home."

The hour-long program focuses on the history of Elmhurst with Crawford as the "tour guide."

Produced by Blue Sky Video Productions in Lake Bluff, the education video was produced for the Elmhurst Historical Museum.

The Aegis awards are a national competition recognizing professional excellence for video production. The production blends live talent and location footage with animation, archival photos, maps, slides and special effects.

The video will be used in the classroom as a companion piece to the curriculum on local history. It is designed for third- through fifth-grade students.

Crawford, the daughter of Judy and Barry Crawford of Batavia, is a sixth-grader at Faith Christian Academy in Geneva.
