WEVA News Minute Video: JVC's New GY-HD100U

Chicago, IL - At the HD EXPO held in Chicago last month, JVC Professional Products displayed their brand new GY-HD100U high-definition camcorder, calling it the “smallest and most affordable HD Cinema production camera available.”

From the show floor, WEVA NEWS MINUTE producer, Bruce Himmelblau, talked with JVC's Edgar Shane, and shot close-up video of the new HD100U to give WEVA International members an up-front view of cutting-edge HD technology that is transforming production capabilities for professional wedding & event videographers worldwide.

The GY-HD100U, which will be on display in the JVC booth at the upcoming 15th Annual WEVA EXPO (August 8-11, 2005), offers high-definition progressive recording at 24 frames per second, with the dual media option of recording to hard disk and MiniDV tape simultaneously.

The GY-HD100U ($6,295) also features, three 1/3-inch CCDs (1280 x 720 square pixels), two XLR audio inputs, live 720/60P analog component output, and a 16:1 Fujinon ProHD lens. The new HDV unit is expected to be available next month.
